Many adolescents are ill-equipped to successfully transition to adulthood. But for some reason on their magical 18th birthday, we proclaim our youth – “adults”, and expect them to make major education, career, and financial decisions that impact the rest of their lives. In fact, according to the National Institutes of Health, the adolescent brain does not fully mature until the age of 25! This is a recipe for aimlessly drifting youth that make costly, and at times, catastrophic decisions.
We have a heart for these young people, which is why through Wide-Eyed Wisdom, we created a framework to help bridge this gap. Beginning with a deep understanding of personal values and vision, piece by piece we add tools to their toolkit so that they have a robust understanding of “adulting” and the consequences of decisions that they make.
